The timepiece is a cast-iron clock, with an image in the middle of a black man burning. This is to depict a time not too far removed, where black people were subjugated to such vile treatment. This clock is held by a rope to showcase the other form of torture blacks were subjected to. This is in front of the backdrop of a collage showcasing the unique position that black people have been placed in this country.
